Abbey McCallum

Executive Assistant

With a diverse career that’s seen her work in various industries in Echuca, London and Perth, Abbey brings considerable administrative experience to the team. She’s passionate about creating a collaborative team environment where everyone can be themselves and enjoy their work.

Background and Experience

Abbey began her career at a local law firm in Echuca as a legal assistant within the conveyancing division. But her desire for adventure and new experiences saw her head overseas to pursue her dream of living in London. During her two-year stint in the UK, Abbey embraced a completely different role as a live-in nanny, which enriched her life with unique experiences and broadened her horizons.

On return to Australia, Abbey relocated to Perth, where she worked as an executive assistant in a national law firm within the Projects, Infrastructure, and Construction division. After three years, Abbey felt the pull of family and decided it was time to move back to Echuca - and we’re happy to have her join us at EDG!

Work Philosophy

Abbey is loud, bubbly, and friendly. She’s a vibrant and approachable team member, capable of fostering a collaborative and enjoyable work environment. She’s a big believer that a positive and inclusive culture is essential for achieving collective success.

Her career and work philosophy has been heavily influenced by her mum. She worked alongside her mum for 4 ½ years at the beginning of her career, and her wisdom and guidance have been instrumental in Abbey's development.

Transitioning from a legal background to the design industry gives Abbey the opportunity to discover the ins and outs of the design industry. Her extensive experience has equipped her with transferable skills that she eagerly applies to her role.

Life Outside Work

Growing up in Echuca/Moama, Abbey is an avid water skiing enthusiast!

"We live in such a beautiful part of Australia, and I feel so lucky to have grown up on the water," she says. Her love for water skiing reflects her adventurous spirit and her appreciation for the natural beauty of her surroundings.

If she wasn’t working in office administration, Abbey says she’d probably fancy a career as a flight attendant - to allow her to enjoy her love of travel and adventure! And give her the ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
